Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Saskatoon to Tokyo, Japan down to between $474 and $574 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are in and out of Tokyo's Narita airport (NRT).
Update June 7th: All Nippon Airways has dropped the price of their flights from Saskatoon to Tokyo down to $507 CAD roundtrip. Saskatoon to Osaka / Kyoto is also available for $535 CAD roundtrip. Start with the Google Flights links below.
You can also find Multi-City flights, where you fly into Tokyo, and then fly home from, say, Osaka, and keep the price in the $500s roundtrip.
It doesn't have to be Osaka that you return from, it's worth trying all airports in Japan at the moment. Some of the cheapest combinations are Tokyo and... Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, or Kobe.

1. Try a Google Flights search like this one...
Google Flights: Saskatoon to Tokyo, Japan
Google Flights: Saskatoon to Osaka, Japan
Google Flights: Saskatoon to Tokyo, and home from Osaka
2. Click on the departure date box and browse for cheap date combinations
- look for the dates that are $720 roundtrip
3. Go to Skyscanner and search for a flight from Saskatoon (YXE) to Tokyo, Japan (NRT).
The price will be lower on Skyscanner. In some cases, you may need to click on 'Cheapest' once your search completes.

Actually I did a search from 2020 Oct 1-15 today, the prices were as low as CAD314 from Saskatoon to NRT (1 stop at Vancouver) round-trip for 1 adult; and CAD391 from Saskatoon to ITM, Osaka (2 stops at YYZ and HND) round-trip for 1 adult.
