Hi Chris; Great site and service. Generally, how long do these deals exist? I just tried to find two seats to Tokyo for any time in Oct or Nov and the best price I could find on either google or momondo was $1226/person return.

It can vary quite a bit from deal to deal. For example, ANA has had very cheap flights to Bangkok, Thailand for quite a long time now. But on their flights to Tokyo, they only offered cheap ones for a few days.
Generally speaking, if it's an extremely good deal, I wouldn't bank on a deal lasting more than 24-48 hours. Sometimes they can disappear even faster than that. It just depends on the demand level VS the number of seats the airline has dropped in price.
